Thalassochelys eocaenica
Taxonomy
Thalassochelys eocaenica was named by Lydekker (1889). Its type specimen is BMNH R1557, a limb element (left humerus), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Bracklesham, Earnley Formation, which is in a Lutetian marginal marine sandstone in the Earnley Formation of the United Kingdom.
