Trachyaspis hantoniensis
Taxonomy
Trachyaspis hantoniensis was named by Lydekker (1889). Its type specimen is BMNH R1443, a partial shell (the near entire penultimate marginal of the left side), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Hordle Cliff Crocodile Bed, Hampshire, which is in a Priabonian terrestrial sandstone/claystone in the Headon Beds Formation of the United Kingdom.
