Taxonomy
Bellerophon (Bellerophon) spergensis was named by Gordon and Yochelson (1983) [Replacement for Bellerophon sublaevis Hall 1856 non Potiez and Michaud 1838 (p. 4, figs. 4-6).]. It is not extant.

It was recombined as Bellerophon spergensis by Wagner (2023).
