Taxonomy
Aulacothyris waehneri was named by Bukowski (1899). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Monte Cucco, south of Paluzza, which is in an Anisian/Ladinian carbonate limestone in Italy.
It was recombined as Sulcatinella waehneri by Dagys (1974).
