Taxonomy
Aulacothyris semiplana was named by Bittner (1902). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Southeast ridge of Trebević, near Sarajevo, which is in an Anisian/Ladinian marine horizon in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
It was recombined as Sulcatinella semiplana by Dagys (1974).
