Taxonomy
Dorcatherium parvum was named by Whitworth (1958). Its type specimen is BMNH M29514, a mandible (left mandible with m1-m3), and it is a 3D body fossil.
It was recombined as Afrotragulus parvus by Sánchez et al. (2010).
