Chamishaella was named by Sohn (1971) [Sepkoski's age data: D Fame C Mosc-u Sepkoski's reference number: ZR91].

It was assigned to Podocopida by Sepkoski (2002); and to Paraparchitidae by Crasquin-Soleau (1998), Hoare and Mapes (2000), Abushik (2015).
