Taxonomy

Cushmanidea is a genus. It is extant.

It was assigned to Neocytherideidinae by Benson et al. (1961); and to Podocopida by Sepkoski (2002).

Cytherideis was named by Jones. It is not extant.

It was synonymized subjectively with Cushmanidea by Benson et al. (1961).

It was assigned to Cytheridae by Ulrich and Bassler (1904).
