Taxonomy
Verticiplagia filiforma was named by Dumitrica (2004). Its type specimen is No. 74377 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is BV 85-70, Site Fociade, Monte de Saline, Marmolada massif, which is in a Ladinian deep-water marl in the Livinallongo Formation of Italy.
