Taxonomy
Tetrarchiplagia ramosa was named by Dumitrica and Zügel (2003). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Mue 22, Mülheim radiolarians, Solnhofen, which is in a Tithonian open shallow subtidal wackestone in the Mörnsheim Formation of Germany.

It was recombined as Verticiplagia ramosa by Dumitrica (2004).
