Rhabdammina was named by Sars in Carpenter (1869) [Sepkoski's age data: K Turo-l R Sepkoski's reference number: 1051]. It is extant.

It was assigned to Astrorhizidae by Cushman (1927); to Rhizamminidae by Morlotti (1988); to Rhabdammininae by Loeblich and Tappan (1988); and to Foraminiferida by Sepkoski (2002).
