Pseudofusulina inobservabilis was named by Leven (1993).

It was recombined as Perigondwania inobservabilis by Davydov and Arefifard (2007); it was recombined as Nonpseudofusulina inobservabilis by Leven (2009) and Leven et al. (2011).
