Taxonomy
Pseudagnostus clavus was named by Shergold (1971). Its type specimen is CPC 8452, a pygidium, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Gola Beds B750, which is in an Iverian marine lime mudstone in the Gola Beds Formation of Australia.
It was recombined as Neoagnostus clavus by Shergold (1977).
