Taxonomy
Aurikirkbya miyakei was named by Tanaka and Ono (2012). Its type specimen is MPC-03638, a valve (left valve), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Tani-gawa river, Tominoho, Mugi county, which is in a Kungurian carbonate limestone in Japan.
