Acanthracochaerilus palustris
Taxonomy
Acanthracochaerilus palustris was named by Kjellesvig-Waering (1986). Its type specimen is BMNH In. 39764, an exoskeleton (a juvenile scorpion with only ventral sutures visible), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Glencartholm, which is in a Visean marginal marine tuff/shale in the Glencartholm Volcanic Formation of the United Kingdom. It is the type species of Acanthracochaerilus.
