Gigantoscorpio willsi
Taxonomy
Gigantoscorpio willsi was named by Stormer (1963). Its type specimen is BMNH In. 42706a,b, In. 42707, an exoskeleton (large, partially preserved scorpion), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Glencartholm, which is in a Visean marginal marine tuff/shale in the Glencartholm Volcanic Formation of the United Kingdom.
