Taxonomy
Michelinia (Protomichelinia) wopfneri was named by Oekentorp and Schröder (2001). Its type specimen is GIM T3 Ba and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is 350 m NE of Oluk Dag, Camlica, Sultan Dag, which is in a Moscovian carbonate limestone in the Randkalk Formation of Turkey.
