Furo orthostomus
Taxonomy
Eugnathus orthostomus was named by Agassiz (1842). Its type specimen is BMNH P.465, a partial skeleton, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Lyme Regis, Egerton collection, which is in a Sinemurian marine horizon in the United Kingdom.
It was recombined as Furo orthostomus by Antunes et al. (1981).
