Heterolepidotus cephalus
Taxonomy
Pholidophorus cephalus was named by Kner (1866). It is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Seefeld, Innsbruck collection, which is in an Alaunian lagoonal/restricted shallow subtidal limestone in the Seefelder Formation of Austria.
It was recombined as Heterolepidotus cephalus by Woodward (1895).
