Promexyele peyeri
Taxonomy
Promexyele peyeri was named by Zangerl and Case (1973). Its type specimen is FMNH PF5911, a skeleton, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Moorehead's Bank, Mecca Quarry shale, which is in a Moscovian marine shale in the Linton Formation of Indiana. It is the type species of Promexyele.
