Guiratingia mendesi
Taxonomy
Guiratingia mendesi was named by Petri and Fulfaro (1966). Its type specimen is DGP-7/1019, a shell, and it is a cast. Its type locality is Rio Mosquito, south of Guiratinga, which is in an Artinskian lacustrine limestone in the Palermo Formation of Brazil. It is the type species of Guiratingia.
