Australobaena chilensis
Taxonomy
Australobaena chilensis was named by Karl and Tichy (2002). Its type specimen is SFMF R 4151, a partial skull (Partially damaged skull without mandible), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Quiriquina, which is in a Maastrichtian marine horizon in the Quiriquina Formation of Chile. It is the type species of Australobaena.
