Taxonomy
Trogulus longipes was named by Haupt (1956). Its type specimen is G 55/2, an exoskeleton, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Geiseltal (GPIUH collection), which is in a Lutetian mire/swamp lignite/shale in Germany.
