Qinornis paleocenica
Taxonomy
Qinornis paleocenica was named by Xue (1995). Its type specimen is XD78sh048.1-3, a set of limb elements (Left tibiotarsus, distal right tibiotarsus & right tarsometatarsus), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Fangou Village, Shimen Town, which is in a Paleocene terrestrial claystone in the Fangou Formation of China. It is the type species of Qinornis.
