Taxonomy
Ampezzoa triassica was named by Lindquist and Grimaldi (2012). Its type specimen is MPG 31344, an exoskeleton, and it is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is Heiligkreuz amber, Cortina, which is in a Carnian terrestrial amber in the Heiligkreuz Formation of Italy.
