Taxonomy
Palaehoplophorus pressulus was named by Ameghino (1885).

It was recombined as Chlamyphractus pressulus by Castellanos (1939), Scillato-Yané et al. (2013); it was considered a nomen dubium by González-Ruiz et al. (2016).
