Taxonomy
Bairdia hoffmanae was named by Kellett (1934). Its type specimen is USNM 89478 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is 1.25 miles straight south of Allen, which is in a Gzhelian carbonate limestone in the Americus Formation of Kansas.
