Mayulestes ferox
Taxonomy
Mayulestes ferox was named by de Muizon (1994). Its type specimen is MHNC 1249, a partial skeleton, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Tiupampa site 1, the “quarry”, which is in a Danian terrestrial horizon in the Santa Lucía Formation of Bolivia. It is the type species of Mayulestes.
