It was assigned to Didelphinae by Marshall and de Muizon (1988); to Ameridelphia by Goin et al. (2006); to Pucadelphydae by Ladaveze and Muizon (2010), Carneiro and Oliveira (2017); and to Pucadelphyidae by Muizon and Ladevèze (2020), Muizon and Ladevèze (2022).
