Taxonomy
Pilgrimcheles karolinae was named by Fraaije et al. (2014). Its type specimen is I−F/MP/3953/1533/08 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Quenstedtoceras mariae Zone, which is in a Jurassic marine horizon in Poland.
