Taxonomy
Fadenia gigas was named by Eaton (1962). Its type specimen is KUNHM 1023, a set of teeth, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Lucas, Cherokee Shale, which is in a Moscovian marine shale in Missouri.
