Gaylordia macrocynodonta
Taxonomy
Gaylordia macrocynodonta was named by Paula Couto (1952). Its type specimen is DGM 329-M, a partial skull (Anterior part of skull and mesial fragment of left mandibular ramus), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is São José de Itaborai, which is in an Eocene fissure fill marl in the Itaboraí Formation of Brazil. It is the type species of Gaylordia.
