Carodnia vieirai
Taxonomy
Carodnia vieirai was named by Paula Couto (1952). Its type specimen is DGM 333-M, a maxilla (Fragments of right and left maxillae), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is São José de Itaborai, which is in an Eocene fissure fill marl in the Itaboraí Formation of Brazil.
