Sphenopsalis nobilis
Taxonomy
Sphenopsalis nobilis was named by Matthew et al. (1928). Its type specimen is AMNH 21736, a tooth (Left m2), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Gashato (AMNH), which is in a Paleocene terrestrial horizon in the Khashat Formation of Mongolia. It is the type species of Sphenopsalis.
