Discussion

Holotype: A fragmentary left mandible bearing m1, the labial side of p4 and the roots of p3, m2 and m3.

Taxonomy
Megadolodus molariformis was named by McKenna (1956). It is considered to be a form taxon. Its type specimen is UCMP 39270, a mandible, and it is a 3D body fossil. It is the type species of Megadolodus.

M. McKenna 1956Easily the largest known Condylarth; depth of jaw twice thet of Phenacodus primaevus and Paulogervaisia mamma and three times that od Didolodus multicuspis. Lower m3 estimated 20 percent larger than that of Paulogervaisia inusta, the largest previously known condylarth.
