Avonothyris plicatina
Taxonomy
Avonothyris plicatina was named by Buckman (1917). Its type specimen is BGS 51326 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Bradford-on-Avon (Marshall Coll.), which is in a Bathonian carbonate limestone/claystone in the Forest Marble Formation of the United Kingdom. It is the type species of Avonothyris.
