Taxonomy
Lyncina theresae was named by Dolin (1991). Its type specimen is USNM 438607, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is TU 546 - Tenmile Creek, which is in a Burdigalian marine marl/sandstone in the Chipola Formation of Florida.
It was recombined as Zonaria theresae by Landau and Groves (2011).
