Stein et al. 2007 Nature united Wattieza to Eospermatopteris.

Taxonomy
Eospermatopteris was named by Goldring (1924). It is not extant. Its type is Eospermatopteris textilis.

It was assigned to Pseudosporochnales by Taylor et al. (2009).
