Retitricolpites incisus was named by González-Guzmán (1967). It is considered to be a form taxon. Its type specimen is Slide F-III-47-575 (Catatumbo). Loc: 40.8X113.9 (micr. P0-58), a seed repro (Pollen grain), and it is a 3D fossil preserving soft parts.

A. E. González-Guzmán 1967Pollen grain tricolpate, spheroidal-subspheroidal; furrow C α 1, C β 2, C γ 2. Sculpture type reticulate, muri simplibaculate (diameter of lumina 2 μ); Grain semitectate. Furrows relatively short (grain brevicolpate). Thickness of exine 3.2 μ; ectexine thicker than endexine. Polar area rather large.
