Retitriporites tilburgii was named by González-Guzmán (1967). It is considered to be a form taxon. Its type specimen is Slide F-III-15-600 (Catatumbo). Loc: 32.5X129.5 (micr. P0-58), a seed repro (Pollen grain), and it is a 3D fossil preserving soft parts.

González-Guzmán 1967Pollen grain triporate; equatorial limb almost circular; pore P α 3b, P β 3b, P γ 1; sculpture type reticulate (-foveolate); diameter of lumina about 0.7 μ; grain probably semitectate. Diameter of pori about 2 μ; annulus width about 1 μ. Thickness of exine about 1.2 μ; ectexine about as thick as endexine.
