T. Van der Hammen and C. Garcia de Mutis 1966 | The holotype (Slide F-I-34, Col. S.G.N., Suesca, Maestrichtian, Zone A) is tricolpate and finely reticulate. The thickness of the exine is clearly visible in optical section (± 1 μ). The polar area is small. The size of the grain is ± 23 μ. The specimens from the Paleocene are identical with this species described from the Maestrichtian. |
