It was synonymized subjectively with Iguanodon by Verdú et al. (2017).

It was assigned to Iguanodontoidea by Ruiz-Omeñaca (2011); and to Styracosterna by Gasca et al. (2015), Verdú et al. (2016), Gasca et al. (2016).
