Xenorhinotherium bahiense
Taxonomy
Xenorhinotherium bahiense was named by Cartelle and Lessa (1988) [Diagnosis as for the genus by monotypy.]. Its type specimen is MCL-2644, a skeleton, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Toca dos Ossos, which is in a Pleistocene terrestrial horizon in Brazil. It is the type species of Xenorhinotherium.
