L. R. Mautino and L. M. Anzótegui 2002 | Pollen grain isopolar, radiosimetric, oblate-spheroidal to prolate, tricolporate, trilobate to subtriangular in outline. Colpi almost reaching the poles, bordered by a zone of smooth exine forming a prominent margo clearly observed in polar view; in equatorial view often obscured especially when the pollen grain is partially collapsed. Ora 3.2-6.7 μm wide and 1-6 μm height. Exine microreticulate 2-3, 3 μm thick clearly stratified; sexine of 1.5-2.2 μm and nexine generally half the thickness of the sexine, of 0.5-1.1 μm. Microreticulum with lumina of uniform size over the whole grain (0.5 to 1 μm). |
