Astrophocaudia slaughteri
Taxonomy
Astrophocaudia slaughteri was named by D'Emic (2013). Its type specimen is SMU 61732 and 203/73655, a partial skeleton (Tooth, two cervical vertebrae, fragments of dorsal vertebrae, 24 caudal vertebrae, approximately 20 fragmentary dorsal ribs, two chevrons, a distal scapular bla), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Walnut Creek B local fauna, which is in an Albian terrestrial sandstone in the Paluxy Formation of Texas. It is the type species of Astrophocaudia.
