Taubateia paraiba
Taxonomy
Taubateia paraiba was named by Malabarba and Lundberg (2007). Its type specimen is DGM 17-P, a partial skeleton (Skull and anteriormost vertebrae), and it is a cast. Its type locality is Tremembé shales, which is in an Oligocene lacustrine shale in the Tremembé Formation of Brazil. It is the type species of Taubateia.
