Micropholis stowi
Taxonomy
Micropholis stowi was named by Huxley (1859). Its type specimen is BMNH R.4382, a partial skull, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Rhenosterberg (Lystrosaurus Assemblage Zone), which is in an Induan terrestrial siliciclastic in the Katberg Formation of South Africa. It is the type species of Micropholis.
