Taxonomy
Ovaloolithus utahensis was named by Bray (1999). It is not extant. It is considered to be a form taxon. Its type specimen is UCM 47621, an egg (eggshell fragments). Its type locality is One Egg Locality, which is in a Maastrichtian terrestrial horizon in the North Horn Formation of Utah.
