Taxonomy
Fusicellaria was named by d'Orbigny (1851) [Sepkoski's age data: K Turo K Sn Sepkoski's reference number: 2,1066]. It is the type genus of Fusicellariidae.

It was assigned to Cheilostomata by Sepkoski (2002); and to Fusicellariidae by Bassler (1953), Gordon (2012).
