Taxonomy
Helicoprion ergassaminon was named by Bendix-Almgreen (1966). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Gay Mine (University of Idaho collection), which is in a Roadian offshore ramp limestone in the Phosphoria Formation of Idaho.
